Aryabhatt Educational and Health trust and Odisha Government ORMAS Collaborate for Rural Mason Programme
Aryabhatt Educational and Health trust , in collaboration with the Odisha Government’s Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS), has successfully launched the Rural Mason Programme. This innovative initiative aims to empower individuals residing in rural communities by equipping them with essential masonry skills. The program’s primary objectives include creating employment opportunities, promoting sustainable development, and addressing the housing needs of rural households. Through this program, approximately 500 individuals have already received comprehensive training and certification as skilled rural masons. These trained masons possess the necessary expertise to construct and maintain buildings, thereby contributing to infrastructural development within their respective communities.
Partnering with ORMAS reflects Aryabhatt Educational and Health trust’s steadfast commitment to the socio-economic upliftment of rural areas. The Rural Mason Programme serves as a catalyst for economic growth and self-sufficiency within these communities, enabling individuals to lead improved lives and fostering overall progress. The program specifically targets households living in kutcha or dilapidated houses, ensuring the construction of quality homes that offer better living conditions. The availability of skilled manpower, particularly masons, is a crucial factor for the success of the Rural Housing Scheme. In this regard, Aryabhatt Educational and Health trust has trained more than 1,700 skilled masons across Odisha, further enhancing the program’s impact and facilitating the fulfillment of housing needs in rural areas.
